A private "Legacy Commission" for a 60th birthday, a surprise from his wife. The painting was unveiled at his surprise 60th birthday party aboard the Midway Aircraft Carrier museum, next to the Grumman S-2 Tracker that bears his name on the cockpit. Text used is the famous "High Flight" poem by John Gillespie Magee Jr.
