"Come to the Waters" is a painting about Invitation. On one level, it is about man's desire to contemplate, meditate, and seek the Creator. On a deeper level, as the viewer "ascends" into the artwork, the thoughts of man lead to the gentle whisper of God. His words come through the mist of the Holy Spirit, inviting the viewer to come, to rest, to be healed, restored, renewed and refreshed... simply by being in His presence. It ultimately is an image about creating a place in our hearts for continual communion in our daily lives and throughout our day... it is an encouragement to lead the viewer to "The Practice of the Presence of God".
